The Futura 21 SL is a women's hiking backpack from Deuter.
Equipped with a taut mesh back combined with the Aircomforttechnology, this backpack offers maximum ventilation and reduces fluid loss by up to 25%. Thanks to its flexible steel frame, the back will return to its original position to guarantee long-lasting comfort. You will also be able to adjust the ActiveFit mobile straps and the chest straps very easily.
Very practical, this model has various compartments, including an extendable one inside the bag to store your wet things. It also contains numerous pockets, for poles and ice axes, as loops for attaching the helmet lightweight backpack and is compatible with a 3L water pouch.
This special women's model also has a shorter back, narrower straps and a belt specially adapted to the female body shape. Another bonus: 50% of the material used for this bag is made from recycled raw materials.

Aircomfort Back System:
For small to medium volume backpacks used on easy terrain, Deuter relies on maximum ventilation. The wear-resistant core element of the Aircomfort systems, which has been reliable for decades, is the continuously elastic spring steel frame. It gives the special aerated net a stable tension even under difficult conditions and thus creates a ventilated space between the bag and the back, through which moist air can freely escape. Fluid loss is reduced by up to 25%, increasing endurance and relieving blood circulation (verified according to scientific tests carried out by the Hohenstein Institute).
The SL Fit - Female adjusted fit:
- Shorter back Women's backs are generally shorter than men's. The carrying systems of the Deuter SL models are therefore cut shorter to better adapt to the female body shape.
- Narrower straps. The straps have a pronounced S-shape and rounded edges. For a perfect fit on the shoulders, without pressure or friction.
- Conical hip stabilisers The hip stabilisers form a cone to fit the female shape perfectly.
