| EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) | An EVA sole is a plastic sole, that can be lighter and more flexible than rubber. EVA stands for Ethylene Vinyl Acetate. It is an elastomeric polymer that produces "rubbery" materials, due to its softness and flexibility. It is a plastic made by combining ethylene and vinyl acetate to create rubber-like properties that can be used for shoe soles. |
| OEKO-TEX® | Oeko-Tex® is a testing, auditing and certification system for eco-friendly operations throughout the textile production chain. It includes all operationally relevant areas (management, production technologies, resource uses, quality assurance, safety precautions, social conditions etc.) in its sustainability review. To be certified as compliant with the Standard Oeko-Tex®, companies must meet criteria relating to their environmentally friendly production processes and also be socially acceptable at all stages of production. |
