Fleeces: the role of the midlayer when skiing
The ideal ski or snowboard outfit is generally comprised of three layers: women's thermal underwear, a midlayer and a women's ski jacket. Fleeces and ski jackets: how do you choose your midlayers?
Before anything else, you must choose your fleece’s thickness. For intense activities which cause you to perspire a lot, you’ll need to go for a lightweight design which will allow sweat to escape more effectively. You will also move around more freely during your activities. For leisure skiing or a simple hike, try to go for a fleece, or an intermediate to thick ski jacket. Then, you’ll be properly protected against the cold even if your activity is less intense. Another thing not to forget is that a midlayer needs to be worn close to your body for better heat retention. So, it’s best to choose a design which is adjusted to your body type.
