The history of the E9 brand

E9 is an Italian climbing clothing and equipment brand founded in 1998. Behind this brand, now a reference in the climbing world, is Mauro Calibani. This world bouldering champion, known for his creativity, has greatly influenced the style of today's classic climbers. Drawing inspiration from the very shapes of rocks, he created unique and instantly recognisable climbing clothing. With a focus on offering quality clothing for climbers, Mauro Calibani developed the E9 or "ENOVE" collections by working with Italian artisans under a Km 0 policy. The aim? To combine style and performance while respecting the environment as much as possible.

As an ambassador for the climbing world, E9 is committed to protecting our playground: nature. That's why this renowned climbing trousers brand strives to produce technical clothing with the lowest possible carbon footprint. By choosing to work with local artisans, ENOVE aims to minimise the distance its products travel. Production in Italy also ensures high quality in the design and manufacture of the clothing. The Italian brand has also joined the No Polybag project, which aims to reduce single-use plastics as much as possible. It is also a member of the EOCA (European Outdoor Conservation Association), which works to preserve natural and wild spaces for future generations.

Across the different models, you'll find straight or slimmer fits, as well as 3/4 cuts. Each men's or women's trouser is easily recognisable thanks to its rounded, contrasting pockets, reminiscent of climbing boulders! Some bouldering trousers feature adjustable hems with an elastic system, allowing you to create a baggy look or roll them up. E9 products are made in small workshops directly in their home country: Italy. Made from organic cotton and elastane, sometimes blended with linen, E9 clothing is stretchy and gentle on the skin. These lightweight, organic materials are comfortable even in hot weather, offering protection and breathability.
