Salewa® has developed its own fleece, Polarlite®, using synthetic microfibres. It is particularly lightweight and dries quickly. It retains warmth well and can be compressed into a backpack. Salewa® uses Polarlite® in different weights according to the Body Cartographie principle, to deliver targeted Warmth exactly where the body needs it. Fleece is extremely versatile. Polarlite® is used to manufacture fleece jackets, as the inner lining of jackets, as a membrane (softshell), as protective jackets (hardshell) and as under-layers (base layers), because it can be worn next to the skin. What's more, Polarlite® is durable and easy to maintain.
