Therm-Ic is the benchmark in the ski and mountain hiking clothing and accessories sector. Its strength lies in its high-performance heating technology and products designed to resist moisture while offering exceptional performance in cold conditions.
The founding idea of Therm-Ic originated in the 1970s. The skiers who established the brand had the brilliant idea of creating durable heated insoles that could be used in any type of boot. In 1998, Therm-Ic launched its first insoles before forging partnerships with ski boot brands such as Rossignol, Tecnica, and K2 to integrate its technology into their touring equipment. Today, Therm-Ic, based in Voiron in the French Alps, is part of the SIDAS Group, a specialist in foot comfort.
Therm-Ic has established itself as a leader in cold weather protection and thermoregulation, thanks to innovative, high-quality products such as heated insoles, socks, and gloves equipped with batteries designed to keep your extremities warm. This expertise extends to a wide range of innovative products, including heated down jackets, vests, and sleeveless jackets. The brand prioritizes high-performance heating technology for enhanced comfort and performance, while offering sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions. Products such as Therm-Ic heated gloves and insoles are tested and come with a 2-year warranty.
Therm-Ic offers a wide variety of products ranging from heated accessories such as insoles, socks, gloves, mittens, and even heated clothing. Their heated jackets and down jackets provide unparalleled comfort for skiing or hiking in the mountains.
Therm-Ic Ultra Heat men's liner gloves, mittens, outdoor gloves, and ski gloves incorporate advanced technologies like Primaloft® Gold insulation, designed to keep your hands warm in extreme cold. The Therm-Ic heated glove range offers targeted protection essential for maintaining finger coordination and performance.
As experts in thermoregulation, Therm-Ic also offers heated socks, either standalone or with a battery, for your days of alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, or ski touring. They are designed to keep you warm and comfortable in all circumstances.
Each Therm-Ic women's or men's heated down jacket or vest available on Snowleader is designed to help you defy the cold and enhance your winter hiking experience thanks to their integrated heating elements that generate gentle and constant warmth.
Therm-Ic heated insoles, such as the Heat Flat model, are equipped with ultra-thin heating elements that attach to the underside of the soles and are charged with Therm-Ic C-Pack batteries. They provide gentle, consistent heat that can last up to 13 hours of extended thermal comfort.
Therm-Ic also offers a wide range of accessories such as hand warmers, boot dryers, batteries, and chargers. These are compatible with Trekking Cool Light Crew hiking socks and other flagship products from the brand; you can find the Therm-Ic size guide and prices on our page.
For optimal use, always start with the lowest heat setting (economy mode) to maximize battery life. Use the Bluetooth app to precisely regulate the temperature and only increase the power in extremely cold conditions.
The absolute rule for proper care is to always remove all batteries before washing. Wash the product (socks/gloves) by hand or on a delicate cycle, and always air dry.
To maximize the lifespan of your Therm-Ic products during off-season storage, charge lithium-ion batteries to approximately 50% and store them in a cool, dry place. This will preserve their lifespan.
Heated gloves have a maximum battery life of 8 hours compared to 14, or even 16 hours for socks.
The small, virtually imperceptible lithium-ion batteries, rechargeable via USB, heat the heating elements integrated into the products. A Bluetooth mobile app allows you to directly control the temperature from your smartphone.
Charge the battery using a standard wall outlet. Once fully charged, attach it to your heated shoes or socks and then connect the power cords. Finally, select your desired heat level.
