The brand focuses on developing DVAs that are ever more efficient and easy to use, so that every rescue can be carried out without losing a second.

Ease of use:
In terms of use, Mammut has redesigned its casing and interface: simple information to read, device operable with gloves on, shock-resistant casing. The backlit screen is readable even with polarised goggles or in full sunlight. The wrong direction function prevents you from heading in the opposite direction to the victims. To facilitate communication between multiple rescuers, the Barryvox is equipped with an additional W-Link communication channel, protecting you from interference and allowing you to gain efficiency. In case of multiple victims burial, the Barryvox offers a differentiated marking of victims, avoiding the risk of signal conflicts.

Performance:
This device has a maximum range of 70 metres. The Barryvox assists you during the rescue: the device shows you the distance, direction to follow, and the number of buried subjects. The audio guidance of the search helps you locate buried persons more easily. The Barryvox battery life is approximately 300 hours in SEND mode and 1 hour in SEARCH mode.

Carrying system:
The BarryMount sheath in which you can slide your Barryvox is of very good quality. Adjustable and practical, it allows one-handed operation without removing your gloves. It also blocks accidental activation of search mode to increase your safety in the field.

Rescuer safety:
The main button integrates a SafeLock safety system to prevent any accidental activation of receive mode. The Barryvox also features a DVA Check mode allowing you to verify the proper functioning of the DVAs of those accompanying you, all guided by the device’s instructions. Moreover, if no movement is detected from you for 4 minutes, the Barryvox hypothesises an avalanche on top and automatically switches to SEND mode.
