That's it, you've decided, you're going to invest in a pair of ski touring skis. Before you rush, take the time to evaluate which pair would be the best for you. It'll depend on your touring practice and your expectations: uphill performance? on descents? Versatility. Here are a few pointers for making the right choice.
If you are more the type to hate the ascent and want to enjoy the descent as much as possible, we suggest you to opt for a freetour model: they're relatively wide skis, with good powder lift (often equipped with a rocker) with which you can have fun on the way down. If you're a fan of ascents and drops, then you'll prefer ultra-light skis for maximum performance.
