The Barryvox S2 Peak 240 Package Avalanche Beacon + Shovel + Probe Pack from Mammut includes all the avalanche equipment you need for your freeride outings, including for handling complex rescue situations.


Beacon BARRYVOX S2 :

The Barryvox S2 is a high-end avalanche victim detector (beacon), designed for mountain activities in risky terrain: off-piste, freeride, mountaineering, ski touring.

The brand strives to develop ever more efficient and adaptable beacons for all situations, so that every rescue can be carried out without losing a second.

Performance:
This device has a maximum range of 70 metres. The Barryvox S2 assists you in rescue: it shows you the distance, direction to follow, and the number of buried subjects (up to 16). The audible search guidance helps you locate buried persons more easily. Its battery life in SEND mode is 550 hours with lithium batteries and 450 hours with alkaline batteries, and about one hour in SEARCH mode.

Ease of use:
Mammut has redesigned its casing and interface: information is simple to read, the device can be operated with gloves, and the casing is shock-resistant. The casing is operable with gloves and shock-resistant, while the MIP screen is readable even with polarized glasses. The voice guidance assists you during the use of the beacon throughout all phases of the search. The wrong direction function prevents you from heading in the opposite direction to that of the victim(s). The Barryvox S2 manages, reduces, and alerts you to interference. To facilitate communication between multiple rescuers, the Barryvox S2 is equipped with an additional bluetooth® communication channel, protecting you from interference and improving efficiency, especially in complex rescue situations. In the case of very deep burial, fine search is automatically triggered earlier (3 metres); deeply buried persons are marked up to a distance of 6 metres.

Advanced features:
The Pro-Search setting combines a digital display and an analogue tone and allows you to switch to alternative search mode. On this high-end model, features are manually adjustable: acoustic guidance, voice guidance, visual guidance, Pro Test, detection of vital information, setting the rescue send delay, automatic switching from search mode to send mode.

Multi-victim mode:
The Barryvox S2 allows you to visualise up to 16 victims simultaneously. In the event of multi-victim burial, it offers differentiated marking of victims. This avoids signal conflicts and improves efficiency. The Auto-Select function prevents you from scattering by automatically directing you to the strongest signal. The Barryvox S2’s bluetooth® channel also transmits victims’ vital information to optimise decision-making.

Carrying system:
The BarryMount sleeve into which you can slide your Barryvox S2 is very well made. Adjustable and practical, it allows one-handed operation without removing your gloves. It also locks to prevent accidental activation of search mode, increasing your safety in the field.

Rescuer safety:
The main button includes a SafeLock safety feature to prevent any accidental activation of receive mode. The Barryvox S2 also has a Pro Check mode allowing you to verify the proper functioning of the beacons of people accompanying you, all guided by the device’s instructions. The Barryvox S2 regularly performs automatic self-tests and alerts you to any faults. Additionally, if no movement is detected from you for 4 minutes, the Barryvox S2 assumes a secondary avalanche and automatically switches to SEND mode.


SHOVEL ALUGATOR :

This is a solid, durable, and lightweight avalanche shovel. It is made from tempered and anodised aluminium combined with stabilisation blades for increased resistance and significant rigidity. It features an ergonomic T-handle for better grip. It is a compact model that can be stored in a backpack without taking up too much space.

PROBE PROBE 240 :

The Probe 240 Speed Lock is a professional avalanche probe.

Equipped with the telescopic Speed Lock system, it is easy and quick to use even with gloves. This high-quality aluminium probe is very rigid and durable. Extend it until you hear the click indicating it is securely locked.

You will then get useful information at a glance thanks to the 360-degree visual depth indicator. The tip shape has been designed to penetrate debris efficiently to save time, as every second counts.

All Mammut avalanche probes are UIAA certified for their reliability, sturdiness, and ergonomics. Delivered here with a pouch including emergency instructions, it measures 45 cm folded and 240 cm extended.
