Freeride snowboard - Unisex -
The Commonwealth from K2 Snowboard takes the proven geometry of the Passport and reinforces it for riders seeking more power, stability, and control as the pace quickens and the terrain stiffens.
Designed to push the limits of freeriding, it combines a robust construction with high riding precision, without sacrificing manoeuvrability. Its A1 core blends poplar, bamboo, and paulownia to offer an excellent balance between responsiveness, durability, and lightness. The bamboo placed under the endpiece improves edge-to-edge transitions and pressure distribution, while the paulownia at the tips reduces rotational inertia.
The triaxial fiberglass provides superior torsional stiffness to enhance grip and stability at high speed. It is complemented by the Spectral Braid™, a variable angle reinforcement that allows independent adjustment of longitudinal flex and torsion for a precise and controlled response. The Hybritech™ construction reduces inertia while enhancing durability. Finally, the 4001 sintered base, impregnated with wax, ensures fast and long-lasting glide, while the Snophobic™ topsheet limits snow buildup.
Available from 146 to 166W, the Commonwealth adapts to different rider sizes and styles.

| HYBRITECH™ | The result of years of rigorous testing, Hybritech™ is the lightest and most durable snowboard construction on the market. What makes Hybritech™ so revolutionary is the elimination of any excess material on the edges at the tips (nose and endpiece) and the addition of a 3D "cap" construction; this strengthens the bond with the fiberglass while reducing the board’s rotational inertia (swing weight). Our boards spin faster, are more manoeuvrable, and last longer than any other board on the market. |
| SPECTRAL BRAID™ | K2’s Spectral Braid™ (US patent no. 10,857,445) is a unique variable-angle reinforcement technology; it allows precise tuning of torsion and flex by changing the fibre orientation along the entire length of the snowboard. The result: our snowboards deliver a lively and dynamic ride while maintaining remarkable stability. |
| TRIAXIAL GLASS | A layered fiberglass laminate with diagonal layers that provides torsional stiffness, ensuring increased stability and better edge hold. The three fibre layers are woven at angles of 45°, 45°, and 0°. This configuration offers a more responsive behaviour, both longitudinally and torsionally. |
