No subject to promotional offersThe Float 42 Black from BCA is a 42-litre airbag backpack designed for backcountry, freeride, ski patrollers, and mountain guides. The largest model in the range, it offers enough volume for day trips or multi-day outings.
It features a separate safety compartment for the shovel and probe, ski carriers, a vertical snowboard carry, a removable helmet net, and straps for poles and ice axe. A fleece-lined pocket also protects the goggles from scratches. Its rear access opening makes it easy to reach your gear, while the padded shoulder straps, ergonomic waist belt, and back panel ensure comfortable carrying. It is compatible with hydration systems and the BC Link radio.
The Float 42 incorporates the Float 2.0 airbag from BCA, with a volume of 150 litres, designed to keep you on the surface in case of an avalanche while protecting your head and neck. The cartridge and airbag are stored in a separate compartment to preserve the main space.
WARNING: the cylindrical Float cartridge required for the airbag to function is sold separately. This cartridge must be refilled through the BCA brand and its partners.
