The Mentis Freebird is a touring ski from the brand Blackcrows, part of the brand’s Touring range. It is designed for demanding mountaineers seeking lightness and agility.
It features a narrow waist combined with a classic camber for good grip on hard snow, similar to an alpine ski. A tip rocker is also present to provide pivot and float when the snow is softer. The flex is intermediate along the entire length of the ski, offering a balance between performance and forgiveness.
With a lightweight paulownia core, combined with carbon and glass fibres, this model delivers good efficiency on the ascent and positions itself as a true sporty touring ski for long tours or vertical outings. A titanal reinforcement underfoot increases stability and the durability of the bindings.
Ultralight and manoeuvrable, the Mentis Freebird excels both on the climb and the descent. Its long radius provides reassuring grip on steep sections, and its rocker makes it comfortable in powder. Si vous cherchez une paire de skis ultralégère et performante c'est bien vers le Mentis Freebird qu'il faut se tourner. Ce ski est léger et vous permettra de vous enfuir loin des monchus pour atteindre les sommets deux fois plus vite qu'avant.
À 2kg la paire sans fixations, on apprécie ce ski si on recherche de la légèreté pour monter vite ou loin. Son flex intermédiaire ne le rend pas exclusif physiquement.
