The Ova Freebird is a touring ski from the Blackcrows brand, part of the brand’s Touring range. True to its reputation, this model remains as versatile and efficient as ever!
Its shape remains unchanged, featuring a light paulownia wood core combined with carbon and glass fibres. This model delivers good performance on the ascent and positions itself as a truly versatile mountain ski. A titanal reinforcement underfoot allows it to adapt to the new hybrid bindings and increases stability.
With its progressive tip rocker, it provides excellent flotation in fresh and worked snow, while maintaining good stability along the entire edge and impeccable grip. It is very lively in turning and reassuring on hard and tricky snow. Its intermediate flex makes it a ski that remains forgiving and comfortable.
The Ova Freebird is a top choice for all mountain lovers who aren’t afraid to seek out great slopes using their own legs and who want to enjoy maximum pleasure on the descent!

The Ova Freebird from Black Crows is as successful as ever this season! Pure ski touring as we like it! It is still as light as ever thanks to a core that allows for increased climbing performance. It also proves to be precise, playful and very manoeuvrable downhill. On this version, the ski pivots better thanks to a more progressive heel lift and a slightly softened flex that makes it more comfortable in all snow conditions.
We would recommend it with our eyes closed!
