Avalanche victim detector -
The Evo 5+ is a high-end avalanche beacon (DVA) from the brand Arva, combining performance and compactness to meet the needs of the new generation of users.
Equipped with a search band width of 50 m, this device will automatically switch back to transmit mode in case of a secondary avalanche during your search. You can also easily ensure that everyone in the group has activated their DVA thanks to the Group Check function: simply place the device in close-range search mode.
In multi-victim situations, this device features a marking function for up to three victims and three antennas to refine search accuracy. You can also rely on the built-in speaker and the turn-around alarm which guides you back on track to find victims quickly and efficiently.
The icing on the cake: very compact, the Evo 5+ will easily fit into any pocket of your jacket while remaining quickly accessible.
As you can see, the Evo 5+, with its multiple features and great compactness, is perfectly suited to ensure your safety during your outings in snowy terrain.

| SEARCH BANDWIDTH | The search bandwidth corresponds to the area swept by the search device. The wider the search bandwidth, the larger the area covered by the device. This can be used to compare the performance of different beacons. |
| AUTOMATIC RETURN TO TRANSMISSION | During a search, in case of a secondary avalanche, the return to transmission function automatically switches the device back to transmission mode without user action. The return to transmission occurs either by timer, meaning after a delay without user action, or by motion detector, after a delay without device movement. These delays can be configured in the device’s settings menu. |
| DYNAMIC INTERFERENCE MANAGEMENT | Interference management optimises device performance during a search in an environment “polluted” by electromagnetic interference. To do this, the device in search mode automatically reduces the search bandwidth to focus on the signal of the searched device, ignoring parasitic frequencies. This function can be disabled by the user. |
| GROUP CHECK | The Group Check function allows you to easily ensure that all group members are wearing a beacon in transmission mode. The group check function places the device in proximity search mode, allowing individual control of each group member by standing less than one metre from them. |
| MARKING FUNCTION | During a search, once a victim is located, the marking function allows you to disregard this victim and focus on searching for another victim. The signal from the “marked” victim is no longer taken into account for the remainder of the search. |
| AUTOTEST | Upon powering on, the device performs an automatic check. It verifies battery level, device functionality, and informs you in case of any issues. |
