Description

The Mantra 84 2026 is a versatile men's downhill ski from the brand Völkl designed for intermediate skiers who want to excel on challenging slopes and terrain.

The multi-layer wood core with two different densities ensures big stability and outstanding performance. Dense ash wood provides increased strength under the binding area, while poplar, which is more flexible, provides flexibility and responsiveness. The high-density sintered polyethylene sole offers exceptional durability and glide.

The technology enables 3D Radius Sidecut you to make easy short turns underfoot, but also large, stable curves at high speed. In addition, side ribs along the entire length ensure direct power transmission. Finally, carbon fibres tailored to each section of the ski, concentrated at the tip and tail, ensure precise power transmission and make the Mantra 84 an energetic ski that is very easy to handle.

This makes Mantra 84 the ideal for skiers who prefer groomed slopes but also enjoy riding on the edges of the piste.

Side ribs along the entire length for direct power transmission

Core - MULTILAYER WOODCORE Multi-layer wood core with two different wood densities. In the binding area, a dense ash core is used, while in the rest of the ski, the core is made of poplar. The denser wood holds the screws in place and ensures stability, while the more flexible poplar section provides resilience and flexibility.
Base - P-TEX 2100 Sintered high-density high molecular weight polyethylene base with high strength and exceptional sliding.
3D RADIUS SIDECUT Use of the long radius in tip and tail for large turns at high speed The tip is resistant to big speeds and there are no restrictions on the radius when exiting turns, making it easy to use. Use the short wheelbase for small turns at medium speeds. This allows for easy curve entry, standard agility and, above all, less effort in short corners.
TAILORED CARBON TIPS AND TAILS In this construction, the carbon fibres are no longer integrated as a uniform woven mesh. They are sewn in such a way that the orientation and force of the fibres perfectly meet the functional requirements of each section of the ski. Since the most important parts of a ski are the tip and tail, carbon fibres are concentrated in these areas. The result is extremely precise power transmission and lively, energetic skiing with minimal effort.
TAILORED TITANAL FRAME The width of the frame Titanal is adapted to each ski length. This means that the Tailored Titanal Frames are custom designed and then integrated into the ski above the tip and tail sidewall, giving these areas the desired shock absorbing and torsional stiffness properties. The size of the frame is adjusted according to the size, ability and strength of the skier. This means that the longer models have a higher proportion of Titanal and therefore offer greater rigidity, even more direct transmission of support and enhanced damping. The shorter the model, the lower the proportion of Titanal, which makes the ski more agile.
