Description

The Mantra 84 W is a versatile piste ski for women from the brand Völkl, designed for advanced skiers who want to excel on groomed runs and challenging terrain.

The multi-layer wood core with two different densities ensures great stability and outstanding performance. The dense ash wood provides increased strength under the binding area, while the more flexible poplar adds flexibility and responsiveness. The high-density sintered polyethylene base offers exceptional durability and glide.

The 3D Radius Sidecut technology allows you to make easy short turns underfoot, as well as stable long curves at high speed. Additionally, the full-length sidewalls ensure direct power transmission. Finally, the carbon fibres tailored to each section of the ski, concentrated at the tip and endpiece, guarantee precise power transmission and make the Mantra 84 W an energetic ski that is very easy to handle.

Thus, the Mantra 84 W is ideal for skiers who prefer groomed pistes but also enjoy riding on the piste edges.

Core - MULTILAYER WOODCORE Multilayer wood core with two different wood densities. In the binding area, a dense ash core is used, while the rest of the ski features a poplar core. The denser wood holds the screws and ensures stability, whereas the poplar section, being more flexible, provides resilience and suppleness.
Base - P-TEX 2100 High-density sintered polyethylene base with a high molecular weight, offering excellent durability and exceptional glide.
3D RADIUS SIDECUT Uses a long radius at the tip and endpiece for large, high-speed turns. The tip resists well at high speed and there is no radius limitation when exiting a turn for greater ease. A shorter radius is used for smaller, medium-speed turns. This allows easy turn initiation, exceptional agility, and especially less effort on short turns.
TAILORED CARBON TIPS AND TAILS In this construction, carbon fibres are no longer integrated as a uniform woven mesh. Instead, they are stitched so that the orientation and strength of the fibres perfectly meet the functional demands of each ski section. Since the most important parts of a ski are the tip and the endpiece, the carbon fibres are concentrated in these areas. The result is extremely precise power transmission and a lively, energetic ski with minimal effort.
TAILORED TITANAL FRAME The width of the Titanal frame is adapted to each ski length. The Tailored Titanal Frames can thus be custom-designed before being integrated into the ski above the sidewall of the tip and endpiece, giving these areas the desired damping and torsional stiffness properties. The frame size is adjusted according to the skier’s height, skills, and strength. This means longer models have a higher proportion of Titanal, offering increased stiffness, even more direct power transmission, and enhanced damping. The shorter the model, the lower the proportion of Titanal, making the ski more agile.
