This, combined with a more flexible and lighter wood inserted in the centre of the construction, offers numerous advantages. The hardwood section immediately adjacent to the edge ensures high power transmission, improves edge hold, and supports the sides against external impacts. The reduced weight of the softer wood in the centre of the ski provides greater agility and better manoeuvrability while reducing the overall weight of the ski. |

The tip has a decisive influence on the ski’s glide behaviour. Depending on the thickness of the fibres chosen and their millimetre-precise alignment, it is possible to specifically adjust stiffness and torsion, which define the ski’s gliding properties. The fibres thus direct the dynamics to the areas of the ski where they are required. The Tailored Carbon Tips are visibly integrated into the ski.
