The Rescue Set Focus Voice is an avalanche rescue kit from the brand Ortovox including the beacon Focus Voice, the probe Probe 240 Alu, and the shovel Beast 2.


Beacon Focus Voice :

The Focus Voice avalanche beacon from Ortovox is a high-quality model offering numerous options to rescue and be rescued during your mountain outings.

Designed to maximise speed and efficiency during critical search phases, this Avalanche Victim Detector (AVD) features an ultra-readable dynamic display system thanks to its 2.7-inch full-graphic MIP screen (400 × 240 pixels). Search precision is enhanced by the automatic 180° correction.

On the safety and transmission side, the Focus Pro relies on the patented Smart Antenna technology which optimises transmission range to be located faster by rescuers, allowing a search bandwidth from 80 (standard ICAR AVA REC 0007) to 90 m with a circular reception zone. The beacon also includes intelligent protection features through its automatic switching modes in case of secondary avalanche. In standby as well as search mode, the transmission signal is momentarily cut to preserve battery life and avoid interference with rescuers’ frequencies during search, but it automatically switches back to transmit mode after 2 minutes of no movement. Coupled with a permanent self-test and active filtering against magnetic and electronic interference (both in transmit and search modes), the device offers exceptional reliability in the field.

In terms of ergonomics and professional features, the Focus Pro marks a major advance thanks to its patented voice guidance. By broadcasting concise, clear, and targeted instructions (available in German, French, English, Italian, Spanish, Swedish, Norwegian, Czech, and Dutch), it allows you to devote all your energy to the rescue. The group check (Group Check) lets you test your devices and those of your companions before departure.

The device also integrates a complete connected ecosystem: thanks to Bluetooth® and the mobile app available on iOS and Android, you can easily access customised beacon configuration, firmware updates, and simplified fleet management. Regarding hardware and construction, this beacon is compact and robust, designed to withstand the most extreme conditions. Presented in a 12 × 7 × 2.3 cm format, it comes with an ergonomic quick-access carrying harness. Its Lithium-ion battery withstands temperatures down to -20 °C and is rechargeable directly via a USB-C port. The device also complies with the EN 300718 waterproofing standard, ensuring maximum resistance to water and humidity.


Shovel Beast 2 :
The Beast 2 is a lightweight shovel. It is suitable for both beginners and demanding users. This shovel allows optimal and efficient work in case of avalanche with a length of 83 centimetres and a 2.3-litre scoop.

The use of high-quality materials makes the Beast 2 a stiff and sturdy shovel for better performance. Thanks to the compact scoop and the telescopic handle with quick-lock, it can be stored quickly and easily in any Ortovox ski touring backpack.


Probe Alu 240 :
The Probe Alu 240 is a model intended for beginners who want an easy-to-use, quick-to-assemble, and robust probe.

The Quick-Lock locking system allows simple and fast assembly, and its adjustment screw enables easy tension adjustment. Its larger tip provides better penetration in the snow.

Its light weight of barely 200 grams is made possible by its aluminium construction with a diameter of 11 mm. The Alu 240 probe features a visual control system with depth markers (including a prominent mark at 1 metre), and a fluorescent orange lower segment to optimise organisation during victim evacuation.
