Touring skis - Unisex -
The Rise 84 is a unisex touring ski from the brand Völkl that represents an ideal compromise between lightness and stability, allowing you to enjoy both the ascent and the descent.
Designed with a Hybrid Multilayer Woodcore made of lightweight woods such as poplar and paulownia, this ski performs perfectly during ascents while also offering good maneuverability in challenging and narrow sections. Furthermore, its weight of only 2,200g without bindings makes it very pleasant for climbing. On the descent, the tip rocker provides extraordinary flotation while its flat endpiece/hinge mount adds rigidity for stability at high speed.
The 3D Radius Sidecut design allows the Rise 84 to perform well in wide turns while remaining very agile in short turns and narrow passages. Additionally, it features Smart Skinclip technology, which makes attaching skins easier and faster, helping you save time and energy during your ascents.

- Sidewalls along the entire length for direct power transmission
- Carbon top layer on the tip for increased stability and reduced weight

| MULTILAYER WOODCORE | The sidewall is laminated onto extremely stable wood layers, on the sides of the ski’s multilayer core. This, combined with a lighter and more flexible wood inserted in the centre of the multilayer core construction, offers numerous advantages: The hardwood section immediately adjacent to the sidewall allows for high power transmission, improves edge grip and supports the sides against external impacts. The reduced weight of the softwood section in the centre of the ski ensures greater agility and better manoeuvrability, while reducing the overall weight of the ski. The combination of these two types of wood along the entire length of the ski contributes to an optimal distribution of the ski’s stiffness, while increasing precision in turns. This is the very first and only sidewall/core construction technology designed for aggressive on-piste and competition use, capable of making the difference between victory and defeat, measured in hundredths of a second. |
| SMART SKINCLIP | The newly developed Smart Skinclip system allows the skier to decide, depending on the situation, in which direction to put on and take off the skin. A standard (carabiner) clip at the rear end of the ski allows the skin to be attached and detached from the back. However, the skin can also be quickly and easily installed and removed from the front. This new flexibility is made possible by an elastic (carabiner) clip, which is also easy to handle with gloves. A slight depression in the tip of the ski provides lateral guidance for the hook and prevents the skin from unintentionally releasing while walking. |
| P-TEX 2100 | High-density sintered polyethylene base with high molecular weight offering high durability and exceptional glide. |
| 3D RADIUS SIDECUT | The use of a long radius at the tip and endpiece for large high-speed turns allows excellent manoeuvrability and easier turn exit. The use of a shorter radius for small turns at moderate speed offers agility and easier turn initiation for smoother short turns. |
