Backcountry Skis - Men -
The Rise Beyond 96 is a men’s freerando ski from the brand Völkl designed for tourers seeking versatility to tackle slightly deeper powder on the descent while benefiting from optimal performance on the ascent.
Built with a Multilayer Woodcore Lite, this ski ensures excellent stability at high speed and very good grip on hard snow. Ultra-lightweight, it perfectly handles the climbing phases, and its tip rocker offers extraordinary flotation in fresh snow.
The 3D Radius Sidecut technology allows the Rise Beyond 96 to perform well in wide turns while remaining very manoeuvrable in short turns, in tight passages. Additionally, it features Smart Skinclip technology which makes skin attachment easier and faster, allowing you to save time and energy during your ascents.

| Ski length | Sidecut dimensions (mm) | Turning radii | Ski weight (g) |
| 163 cm | 138 - 96 - 119 | (R1) 19 m, (R2) 14 m, (R3) 18 m | 1,184 |
| 170 cm | 138 - 96 - 119 | (R1) 22 m, (R2) 16 m, (R3) 20 m | 1,262 |
| 177 cm | 138 - 96 - 119 | (R1) 24 m, (R2) 17 m, (R3) 22 m | 1,320 |

- Sidewalls along the full length for direct power transmission
- Carbon upper layer on the tip for increased stability and reduced weight
- Marker Kingpin or Alpinist bindings recommended
| MULTILAYER WOODCORE LITE | Mix beech and poplar to create a very durable wood core, composed of hardwood underfoot in the binding area, and very light wood in the other zones. |
| P-TEX 2100 | High-density sintered polyethylene base with a high molecular weight offering excellent durability and exceptional glide. |
| 3D RADIUS SIDECUT | Uses a long radius at the tip and endpiece for large, high-speed turns allowing excellent manoeuvrability and easy turn exit. The shorter radius for small, medium-speed turns provides agility and an easy turn initiation for smoother short turns. |
| SMART SKINCLIP | This system lets the skier decide, depending on the situation, in which direction to attach and remove the skin. A standard carabiner clip at the rear of the ski allows the skin to be attached and detached from the back. The skin can also be installed and removed quickly and easily from the front. The elastic clip is easy to grasp with gloves. A slight depression in the ski tip guides the clip laterally and prevents accidental skin release while walking. |
