The undisputed reference as a belayer, Petzl has developed the Grigri + to make it even more complete. The Grigri + is a belay device with assisted blocking and anti-panic handle, for all single rope diameters (from 8.5 et 11 mm). The steel of the Grigri + has also been reinforced, making the product even more durable over time. Its cam-assisted blocking system adds real safety and allows the rope to be pinched to lock it in place when resting or lowering.
The Grigri + is a belay device with assisted blocking designed for all climbers, both in the gym and on the crag. The gearing of the handle offers excellent control of the descent. You can't go wrong with the rope installation diagram engraved on the belay device!
Last but not least, this belay device also has two modes of use allowing you to choose a belay mode according to your needs, top-roping or lead climbing. The top-roping mode and the anti-panic handle offer a more comfortable belay and make the GRIGRI + particularly suitable for learning.
Brake-assisted belay device suitable for all climbers:
- Identical to a conventional belay system: the belay is done with both hands on the rope. The fall is stopped by squeezing the free strand with the hand,
- Can be used with all single ropes and is optimised for diameters between 8.9 and 10.5 mm,
- Rope installation diagrams engraved on the belayer (inside and outside)
- Very high durability for intensive use, thanks to the stainless steel reinforcement plate.
- Progressive control of the rope's movement, offering exceptional comfort during the descent.
Particularly suited for learning:
- Anti-panic handle: If the belayer pulls too hard on the handle, the anti-panic function is activated and stops the descent,
- Choice of belay mode, top-roping or lead climbing, using the selection knob: top-roping mode makes it easier to take up slack and offers a more comfortable belay,
- Possible locking of belay modes.
