It can absorb one-third of its weight in water vapour, and its warmth prevents the sensation of cooling. Even when wet, the clothes remain warm. Wool fibres are naturally durable against mechanical stress, do not get dirty easily and are antibacterial, thereby significantly reducing unpleasant odours and the need for washing. Like all natural materials, merino wool is biodegradable. |
