Description

The Phantom 8000 Thermic HD is a mountaineering boot from the brand Scarpa.

Designed to climb the world's highest summits, the Phantom 8000 Thermic HD is the Italian brand's flagship product in terms of performance and warmth in the most extreme freezing conditions.

The external shell and integrated gaiter feature awaterproof and breathable H-Dry membrane combined with elastic fabric S-Tech Shoeller and resistant PU Tek fabric. Insulation is provided by a layer of aluminium, which retains heat better, and a layer of cork combined with EVA foam. The slipper also features multiple layers to ensure the best possible insulation, including Primaloft Gold 200 g/m² fabric, which is the most effective heat source on the market, andTH5 insulation (EVA and 5 mm thick cork).

On the practical side, the technology Sock-Fit and the waterproof Zip Flexseal allow the shoe to be opened completely for easy fitting, like a sock, even when wearing gloves.

The internal sole Carbon Tech is made of EVA foam for cushioning and comfort. An insulating aerogel completes the insulation. Carbon fibres add rigidity and precision at decisive moments, not to mention the weight savings achieved. As for the outsole, Scarpa has turned to Vibram and its 0 Gravity sole to equip its Phantom 8000 Thermic HDshoes. It is a lightweight, sturdy sole that guarantees excellent precision.

The Phantom 8000 Thermic HD is compatible with automatic and semi-automatic crampons, allowing you to tackle the most difficult passages with confidence. It also features full-length stoneguards for maximum protection on rocky terrain.
