Down mountaineering suit - Women -
The Himalayan Suit Fiery Red from the brand The North Face is a women's suit, warm and comfortable, designed for your high mountain expeditions in all weather conditions.
Its Cloud Down construction reduces cold spots and increases compressibility, while the 900 ProDown™ filling retains loft in wet conditions and provides high warmth and compressibility. The stretch synthetic insulation combined with a breathable lining in the collar, back panel, and inner thighs allows targeted temperature regulation. The FUTURELIGHT™ breathable and waterproof fabric with Spectra® ripstop in the forearms, seat, and lower legs offers targeted resistance to weather and abrasion.
The design, insulation mapping, and baffle shaping are tailored to women's needs for a perfect balance of warmth, mobility, and practicality. The asymmetrical front zipper placement helps protect the zippers from condensation and oxygen mask frost. Additionally, the hood is compatible with wearing an oxygen mask. Finally, this suit is equipped with numerous pockets as well as knit wrist gaiters with FLASHDRY™ technology and thumb loops.

| FUTURELIGHT™ | The revolutionary result of four years of laboratory research and field testing, The North Face integrates the FutureLight™ membrane into the flagship products of its ranges. This cutting-edge technology, born from the needs of top athletes, is based on a unique process developed by the brand that adapts the benefits provided by each product through modulation of the membrane spinning and fabric density, perfectly meeting the demands of each discipline. Each membrane is constructed from an exclusive, custom ultra-fine fibre weave (nano-spinning), integrated into fabric treated with a DWR water repellent. This design process offers exceptional breathability, proven waterproofness, unmatched comfort in use thanks to fabric suppleness, and excellent material durability. The manufacturing highlights the brand’s eco-responsible approach, central to its concerns in developing this innovation, by incorporating 90% recycled materials into the products, opting for a PFC-free DWR water repellent treatment, and using plasma lamination that requires reduced water consumption. |
| FLASHDRY™ | The FlashDry™ fabric technology is designed to give the illusion of a second skin, bringing moisture to the fabric surface and removing it as quickly as possible to keep the user dry and cool, ensuring comfort during particularly intense sporting activities. |
| PRODOWN™ | Trapping air and body heat in its highly lofted down clusters, this lightweight and compressible material provides exceptional warmth in cold conditions. Contrary to common belief, down differs from feathers. This type of insulation uses goose or duck down, which are the soft under feathers found beneath a bird’s outer feathers. The down fill power rating gives two important indications: the warmth-to-weight ratio and compressibility. These two properties are crucial for heat retention and comfort. Down performs best in dry conditions and loses efficiency when wet. Machine drying helps revive natural down. |
